Compositions on Abaca paper record encrypted data of my interior monologues.  Working from a flow chart that categorizes and assigns a Pantone reproducible color to each emotion, painting with watercolor and gouache, I translate journal entries as well as plot out extemporaneous feelings into colored fields of dots.  Embedded map fragments and drawn constellations on discs of paper reflect external distractions.  Merging science with imagination, these mind maps function to chronicle the behavior of chemical interactions in the brain for the duration of various states of mind and offer a glimpse into the formal arrangement of emotions.
